As her sistership "Te Ngakau a Kupe" the new motorsailer catamaran "Te Okupu" was built in Hamilton NZ by Craig Wild Boatbuilders. This craft is in MSA safe ship management and is designed for the combined use of sailing charter and the owners private use inshore and offshore.

Internal and deck layouts are designed to achieve a high standard of safety in a wide range of sea conditions. Included in this is the ability to "gamefish from a sailing catamaran", now a successful venture as proven by sistership "Kupe".

Accommodations include large saloon cuisine, inside nav station and drinks bar. Two double cabins aft with ensuites, aircon, tv, dvd, etc are complimented by similar 2 double cabins forward each linked to smaller 2 single bunk cabins. There are two ensuites forward also to service this lot.

Cockpit has a fishing tackle-cum-dive locker room to port, and a walk-in shower/toilet to starboard.

One port and one starboard steering console with sail control winches just inboard of these. The port side "motorsailer dodger" arrangement has a very comfortable twin “”aircraft”seat setup and repeats of all sailing and navigation instruments.

As per "Kupe", "Te Okupu" has the large gamefish platform across the stern between hulls with easy access to transom steps, side, and foredecks. To keep the area clear for fishing etc the tender is stowed (by crane) on the port foredeck just in front of the main cabin structure.
